All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD), not incl. GST.
GST (Australian Goods & Services Tax 10%) is applicable to all Australian domestic orders sent to destinations in Australia. Please contact our sales team if you are having trouble getting a quote that outlines the GST amount.
All International orders will automatically bypass payment during checkout. Your payment is on hold while we manually check tax-free delivery cost for each individual order to ensure we are offering the best possible (most economical) shipping option for your destination.
Discounts & Wholesale
Most items listed in the Decorators category show discount pricing for multiple item ordering. While Australian Seashells does not distinguish between general public and retailer customers, we will offer bulk discounts for large orders in general, based on the total order volume. Consider placing a larger order instead of several smaller ones to get a bulk discount and lower delivery cost per item.

Australian Seashells accepts VISA and MasterCard payments, Electronic Funds Transfer payments (EFT), personal and business cheques in Australian Dollars (made out to Australian Seashells P/L) and cash payments.
Ordering Terms & Conditions
I confirm that I am ordering the correct item, quantity, type (i.e. grading / locality) and price as listed per item in my shopping cart and request Australian Seashells to complete payment for these items on my behalf.
I understand that Australian Seashells does not offer an extended cooling-off period for the items in the order and that this purchase is deemed a firm sale by the end of the same business day the order was placed (or the following business day until 12 PM Perth, WA time), if the order was placed after close of business of the preceding business day.

I understand that once my order has been shipped, my options to return items to Australian Seashells are limited as outlined in the Returns Policy.
How to Order
To order from Australian Seashells, you can click on any listed item to access more information.
- Select QTY and ordering options (i.e. size, colour - if applicable).
- Click ‘Add To Cart’. The system will confirm you have added the item(s).
- Click the Shopping cart symbol in the page header anytime to view your cart.
- In cart view, you can add or remove items, then click ‘Update Cart’ to view your current order.
- Once finished shopping, in cart view click ‘Checkout’ to go to checkout view.
- In checkout view, enter your billing and shipping address information and click ‘Continue’ to review your order.
- In order review, please check the details you entered again: If all details are correct, choose credit card payment option for immediate eCommerce checkout, enter the card details and click ‘Continue To Next Step’.
- Once payment is complete, the system will automatically send a confirmation e-mail to the address listed in your account. The email will contain a direct link to all your order details.
- If your order contains items that require stock-checking or you entered an International delivery address, clicking "Continue To Next Step" will create your order, but bypasses payment. Once we receive your request, we will manually check for availability and shipping options, then contact you via e-mail ASAP to confirm details. We will complete your order and process your payment once you approve.
Contact & Communication
Australian Seashells is an online shop, so our primary means of communication with our customers is via the email address listed in the customer online account. Australian Seashells will not be held responsible for any missed communication due to your email address being incorrect. If you have more than one email address, please check all email accounts before contacting us.

Brief Cooling Off Period
After you place your order, please take a moment to review the details.
If you notice a mistake or problem with your order, you can still cancel your order for a full refund, if you do this within the very brief cooling off period.
Please call our head office ASAP on the same business day as you placed your order (or the following business day until 12 PM Perth, WA time, if your order was placed after close of business of the preceding business day: (area code 08) 9409 9807 Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (local Perth, WA time) or 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM (AEST). After this time, your cooling off period ends, your purchase will be regarded as a firm sale and will be shipped to you.
Once your order has been shipped, we may still be able to offer you online shop credit if you return your goods to us following our Returns Policy guidelines, but this will invariably not include return postage cost.
Australian Seashells allows you to amend or add additional items to your order on the same business day as you placed your order (or the following business day until 12 PM Perth, WA time, if your order was placed after close of business of the preceding business day. After this time we are unable to combine shipping cost on your order and will have to treat subsequent requests as a new order.
Online shop credit
If you cancel an order or return an item, you may be eligible for online shop credit, which is valid for 12 months from date of issue. Please refer to our Returns & Cancellations section for more details for online shop credit eligibility, terms and conditions.
‘Money Back Guarantee’ for Specimen Seashells
Australian Seashells is not required to offer a credit or refund if a customer simply changes their mind, or has found another item elsewhere, according to Australian law (Trade Practices Acts).
However, we acknowledge that Specimen Seashell items are by definition highly individual objects and we would like to grant our customers some special consideration:
We are offering you a ‘Money Back Guarantee for Specimen Seashells’ – you can return any specimen seashell item for a refund or online shop credit to the value of the item(s) returned, excluding shipping cost. The items must be returned in resaleable condition to us. See the Returns & Cancellations section for full details on how to return an item.
NOTE: This money back guarantee only covers Specimen Seashells items, all other items or products we offer for sale in our online shop are covered in our Returns & Cancellations section.
Some items are subject to availability confirmation, in particular those tagged as ‘Low Stock’ or ‘Out Of Stock’. You will not be charged for items we cannot supply and your order will not be processed until you have authorised Australian Seashells to go ahead with your order. Australian Seashells will review all orders prior to processing and will only process payments for items that we can supply. If we cannot supply any product, we will not process your order until we have consulted with you via email re. availability and ordering options.
- In Stock
Items that are readily available at the Australian Seashells Warehouse will be tagged as ‘In Stock’ on their Product page. Occasionally stock runs low before the website can be updated and you will be notified if your order has been affected. Generally, orders containing only ‘In Stock’ tagged items will be processed on the following business day.
- Low Stock
Items that are not readily available at the Australian Seashells Warehouse will be tagged as ‘Low Stock’ on their Product page. Any item that does NOT feature the 'In Stock' tag will need stock-checking and you will be advised via e-mail about availability and delivery time before we proceed with your order or payment. Obviously all ‘In Stock’ tagged items in your order will be delayed for processing as well.
- Out Of Stock
We list over seven thousand specimen shell categories online - and have well over 2 million individual specimen seashells in stock. This means that some items on our website may be out of stock temporarily. If we expect more stock, we may not remove the item from our listing, just temporarily tag it as ‘Out Of Stock’. If your order contains an ‘Out Of Stock’ tagged item, we will contact you via email to inform you of availability, expected delay and delivery options before we process it.
NOTE: You have 48 hours to respond to the information we send to you regarding your order enquiry. If you respond after this time, your request may expire, but you can always place a new order through the website.
We ship to Australia and worldwide. We do not charge a handling fee.
We will automatically ship your order by the most economical shipping option nationally via trackable Standard Australia Post eParcel service, unless:
- your order exceeds size/weight parameters for this service
- you request EXPRESS delivery during checkout
- you request courier shipping prior to placing your order via your own account with TNT or EMS / DHL.
In any case, our eCommerce system will provide you with a shipping quote for your order based on parcel weight and destination during checkout. There is no handling charge.
Combined Shipping Cost
We automatically consolidate shipping cost on all items in your order. This means that if your order contains an item tagged ‘Low Stock’ or ‘Out Of Stock’, your order may be on hold until we have confirmed availability. If you wish to avoid any possible delays, please ensure your order contains only ‘In Stock’ tagged items.
We will automatically ship orders via standard trackable Australia Post eParcel service (optional delivery against signature only). If you need to fast-track delivery, you can upgrade to fully trackable Express Australia Post eParcel. Our checkout system will provide you with delivery cost to your destination incl. GST.
- If your order exceeds total weight of 35kg packaged, we may contact you prior to shipping your order to discuss a more economical delivery via TNT Road Express service instead. Please note TNT requires a physical street address for delivery (no PO Boxes).
All stock available at the Australian Seashells warehouse will be shipped on the next business day if there are no other items tagged ‘Low Stock’ or ‘Out Of Stock’ in the order.
If items are not readily available then, our sales team will contact you via the email address listed in your account to discuss availability timeframe and options.
Domestic Delivery Times
Australia Post generally advises standard delivery Australia-wide (all Australian mainland destinations) of 5 business days (1 week), EXPRESS Post max. 3 days Australia-wide. For comprehensive domestic delivery estimates, please visit Australia Post online.
Australia Post offers optional delivery against signature. If you do not nominate this option or have a prior arrangement with your local Australia Post office, your parcel may be left for you in a safe place near your front door by default if you are not at home during delivery. If you nominate a signature is required for delivery, your parcel will be held at your local PO and a notification card with pickup instructions will be left in your letterbox.
We will usually ship orders via standard trackable International Australia Post eParcel service (AirMail). All International orders will bypass automatic checkout and tax-free delivery cost will be quoted individually for each order via email to ensure we are offering the best possible (most economical) shipping option for your destination.
- All orders with destinations in ARGENTINA, BRAZIL, CHILE, ISRAEL, ITALY, PHILIPPINES, RUSSIA and SPAIN will require special care. Our sales team will send you an email to the email address listed in your account to discuss the best delivery options and timeframes for trackable Australia Post AirMail services: Express Post Intl, EMS Australia Post courier service or Pack & Track AirMail (depending on your destination) for better handling and faster delivery against signature only.
International Delivery Times
Australia Post generally advises delivery to most destinations in western Europe as 5-7 business days from date of mailing (pending customs and security screening on arrival). For complete and current Intl. delivery times and information, please visit Australia Post.
IMPORTANT International Customs / Duty Notice:
Australian Seashells will ship your International parcel as export of tax-free goods from Australia. Please be aware that tax / duty may apply for importing goods to your destination on arrival in your country. Please check applicable duty rates at your local customs office.
International Courier Shipping
Upon request, we can ship via your own or preferred courier (TNT / EMS / DHL). Please contact the Australian Seashells sales team via e-mail prior to placing your order to advise your own courier account details for your preferred service.
Courier Delivery Times:
Most worldwide Courier deliveries will take 4-5 business days from date of lodgement, pending fast-tracking of customs / quarantine inspection. NOTE: Courier delivery services require a physical street address for delivery (no PO Boxes).
Incorrect Address or Delivery Details
Address changes and/or corrections made through your Australian Seashells online shop account will only affect future orders placed after the changes and/or corrections are made. Any changes and/or corrections for current orders must be completed by contacting the Australian Seashells sales team before your order is being shipped. Note: Please also remember to update your account for future orders.
Customers who enter addresses that Australia Post have deemed as incorrect and/or have insufficient details to ensure delivery may result in the following:
- Delivery Delays
- Lost / Missing Parcels
- Parcel Returned to Australian Seashells
If Australian Seashells was responsible for incorrectly addressing a package, then we will be responsible for the resending, replacement or refund of the items not delivered or delayed.
Any package returned to Australian Seashells due to incorrect and/or insufficient information supplied by the customer will have to be re-sent and will incur an extra delivery charge of the original postage cost. Australian Seashells will contact you via the email address in your account to discuss your delivery options and confirm address details prior to re-sending your order.
If a package is returned to Australian Seashells due to the above incorrect and/or insufficient delivery issues and incurs damage to the item(s), Australian Seashells will not be responsible for replacing the goods, but will make every effort to add extra protection to resend the package once the extra delivery fee payments have been made. We will contact you prior to resending your parcel to discuss your options.
Any shipment that is delayed or lost and is found to have had incorrect and/or insufficient details provided by the customer is not eligible for a refund or online store credit from Australian Seashells.
If the package has the correct delivery information and is deemed 'lost' by Australia Post after an Australia Post investigation, Australian Seashells will liaise with Australia Post on your behalf and offer to replace the items or issue online shop credit only if you have completed the minimum steps as outlined in our Missing / Lost Parcel section (i.e. in case of a missed delivery attempt).
If your shipping address is correct and you have not received your parcel or a notification card within the appropriate time frame, please check your email for Australia Post delivery updates. If you have not received Australia Post or courier tracking details, please notify us, so we can follow up delivery progress on your behalf.
Missing / Lost Parcel
If your parcel has not arrived or tracking info is inconclusive, you must contact Australian Seashells within four (4) weeks of receiving the automated 'parcel shipped' delivery update - otherwise we cannot offer you online shop credit or a refund.
Australian Seashells will liaise with Australia Post on your behalf if your parcel goes astray. However, we will replace items or issue online shop credit only after you have completed the following steps:
- Check with your local Post Office for arrival of the parcel within 3 weeks of the parcel shipping date, using the trackable consignment ID provided. In case you missed delivery and did not receive or overlooked the notification card placed in your letterbox, please check with local PO staff. Please note that local post offices will generally only keep parcels for 2 weeks before returning them to us.
- Contact the Australian Seashells sales team via e-mail or phone with the information you obtained from your local PO staff within four (4) weeks of the parcel shipping date.
Customers please note that Australia Post Redirections may not work with some parcels. Australian Seashells will not be responsible for replacing goods or extra costs if a mail redirection with your local Post Office has not been successful. Please update your account details and contact our sales team to ensure that any current order has your updated address details.
RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS
Please check all details incl. proposed delivery times and ensure you wish to purchase the item(s) in your order before you complete your purchase and proceed with the payment.
Please discuss your requirements with our sales team before cancelling, as we may be able to fast track your order (i.e. if you are ordering for a particular event).
To cancel an order made by mistake, or to discuss upgrading your shipping options, we can offer you a short cooling off period. We do not offer an extended cooling off period or to cover shipping cost for returned items once your order has been shipped.
We understand that at some point you may need to return an item to us. As we ship all items via trackable delivery, every order has a recorded delivery date.
Before sending any items(s) back to us, please contact our sales team to discuss your reason for the return and to organise approval for returning item(s) to Australian Seashells.
IMPORTANT: Please check the item(s) you received carefully as soon as they arrive and understand the following return policy terms:
- While you can return item(s) to Australian Seashells if you have made a mistake in ordering or changed your mind, we require notification within 1 business day of the recorded delivery date to organise online shop credit for you. Australian Seashells will not refund postage or pay for any return postage cost.
- If you received a faulty or damaged item, we require notification within 2 business days of the recorded delivery date.
If the item you received is not what you ordered, we require notification within 5 business days of the recorded delivery date. We may ask you to send us photographic evidence, but we will also do our best to ensure you receive your ordered items ASAP and send you instructions for Australia Post eParcel return shipping.
- Australian Seashells does not offer online shop credit for products that are returned damaged to our office or never arrive. The return address for all orders is: Australian Seashells Head Office, 5 Ealing Mews, Kingsley, WA 6026, Ph: +61-8-9409 9807. To qualify for credit, an item must be returned in perfect condition ready to be resold. Failure to package a returning item properly will invariably result in no online shop credit and the item(s) will be returned to the customer.
- Any online shop credit issued for a return will be for the value of the returned item only. All online shop credit will be valid for 1 year from date of issue. Online shop credit for any item does not cover the cost of postage.
How to Return an Item
Before returning any items please contact the Australian Seashells sales team to discuss your reason for requesting a return and to organise approval. Please also refer to our Returns Policy.
If you are returning an item for online shop credit, you will need to package the item with sufficient packaging and protection (i.e. bubble-wrap and cardboard) to ensure that contents do not slide around inside the outer packaging (i.e. cardboard box) to cause damage (or any further damage) to the returned item, especially and in particular if a damaged item is the reason for the return.
Please keep your original Australian Seashells packaging until you have made contact with our head office or sales team. We encourage you to re-use the packaging that we have used to send your goods. If you feel that the packaging cannot be reused for whatever reason you will need to provide your own secure and sturdy packaging.
All items being returned must include a note with your name, order number and needs to specify the reason for the return.
